About The Silver Band

  Photos Donna Kroeger 2016

The second ensemble of the LCBS started in 1988 a year after the founding of the Society  following the start up of the Gold Band. It's role in the organization is to provide a learning and performance group to meet the needs of the 'rusty' or intermediate player looking for an opportunity for playing with more comfortable technical demands.

The group performs a minimum of four concerts a year as well as actively providing performances at many civic events.  This ensemble performs with the Gold Band during various concerts during the year, and has as well hosted soloists, arrangers and composers.  It is currently, 2016,  under the directorship of conductor Sam Yamamoto.

The following is a listing of performance pieces drawn from the program archives. Not included are performance events which did not have a printed program.  Repertoire is not currently available for 1988 to 2004.
